THE ROOFTOP
A private terrace made for slow mornings, lazy afternoons and sunset drinks. Take your coffee upstairs, stretch out with a book, or end the day watching the colours change behind the trees, with the sound of the ocean in the background.After dark, switch off the rooftop lights and settle into the daybed. On a clear night, it’s a beautiful spot for stargazing.

THE BEDROOM
The air-conditioned bedroom opens directly onto the private courtyard and pool, keeping the outdoor space and natural light always in view.At its centre is a king-size bed, complemented by soft lighting, a dressing area and a comfortable lounge chair. Beside the bathroom is a built-in reading nook, which can also be converted into a single bed when a third guest is staying.
THE BATHROOM
The private ensuite opens to both the bedroom and courtyard, so you can step straight into the hot-water rain shower after a swim. A skylight, deep green tiles and warm wood give the space its relaxed, tropical feel.
THE LIVING SPACE
The living space is made for the slower parts of the day: coffee at the breakfast bar, a simple meal in the kitchen or settling onto the sofa as the afternoon light moves through the room. The open-plan kitchen and air-conditioned lounge flow naturally into one another.For a quiet evening in, there’s a wall-mounted Smart TV and Starlink Wi-Fi - also useful if you need to catch up on a little work during your stay.

ISLAND LIFE ON GILI TRAWANGAN
Gili Trawangan, commonly known as Gili T, is a small island just off the northwest coast of Lombok. There are no cars here, and much of island life takes place by bicycle, on foot, or beside the sea.Gili Terrace Villas are located on the quieter sunset side of the island, away from the busiest stretch around the harbour, while still keeping the beaches, restaurants, bars and activities of Gili T within easy reach.It is the kind of place where you can do as much or as little as you want.
THINGS TO DO ON GILI TRAWANGAN
Gili T may be small, but there is plenty to do.There are no cars on the island, and bicycles are one of the easiest ways to explore. A quick ride around Gili T can take around 30 to 40 minutes, although once you start stopping for beaches, cafés, food, drinks and photos, it can easily turn into half a day.Bicycles and electric bikes or scooters can be rented locally, and we can help arrange rental during your stay.Days on Gili T can include snorkelling, scuba diving, freediving, paddleboarding, kayaking, yoga, horse riding, surfing, beach clubs, massages and spa treatments, live music, nightlife, or simply riding around until you find somewhere you want to stop.There is also an 18-hole mini golf course on the island, making it an easy afternoon or evening activity away from the beach.For golfers looking for something more substantial, Sira Beach Golf & Country Club in North Lombok can also be visited as a day trip. When sea and tide conditions allow, the mainland can be reached directly by speedboat from Gili T, making it possible to combine island time with a round of golf on the Lombok coast.And when you don’t feel like doing anything at all, Gili T is equally good at that.
SNORKELLING AND DIVING ON GILI TRAWANGAN
One of the biggest reasons people visit the Gili Islands is what lies beneath the water.You don’t always need to join a boat tour to go snorkelling on Gili T. At several parts of the island, you can enter directly from the beach and explore coral, tropical fish and areas where green sea turtles are regularly seen.Popular snorkelling areas around the island include Turtle point, Halik and Bio Rocks (the latter is an artificial reef created by Gili Eco Trust to create a home for more marine life).Another popular option is a three-island snorkelling trip around Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno and Gili Air. These trips commonly visit reefs, turtle areas and underwater attractions around the three islands. One of the best-known stops is the underwater sculpture installation near Gili Meno.Marine conditions change from day to day, so the best snorkelling locations will always depend on tides, currents, visibility and weather.Gili Trawangan is also one of Indonesia’s established scuba-diving destinations, with dive centres offering courses and guided dives for complete beginners through to experienced and professional divers.Both PADI and SSI courses are widely available on Gili T. Visitors can try scuba diving for the first time, complete an Open Water course, continue with advanced training, or join fun dives if they are already certified.Well-known dive sites around the Gili Islands include Shark Point, Turtle Heaven, Deep Turbo and Simon’s Reef, along with wrecks, coral gardens and deeper sites for more experienced divers.Turtles are one of the signature encounters around the Gilis, while reef sharks, tropical reef fish, and other marine life may also be seen depending on the dive site and conditions.
There are numerous established dive centres around the island, including Manta Dive Gili Trawangan, alongside a wide choice of other PADI and SSI operators. Whether you're coming to Gili T specifically for scuba diving or simply hoping to fit a few dives into your holiday, there are plenty of options to choose from.Gili T is also home to an established freediving community. Beginners can learn breath-hold techniques, equalisation and safe diving skills, while more experienced freedivers visit the island for depth training and coaching. Freedive Gili is one of the island's established freediving schools and offers training from beginner level through to more advanced courses and depth-focused sessions.
EATING AND DRINKING ON GILI TRAWANGAN
Food is a big part of island life, and you’re never far from somewhere to eat.On the sunset side, there are restaurants, beach bars and casual places to stop for food and drinks throughout the day.Gili Teak is close to the western beach and is a popular option for combining food and drinks with sunset. For steak, The Cutting Board is another well-known option on the island.Closer to the harbour, the Gili Trawangan Night Market is one of the island’s popular evening food spots, with grilled seafood, Indonesian dishes, satay and local food served from a variety of stalls.Across Gili T, you’ll also find cafés, local warungs, international restaurants, beach bars, live music and nightlife, so there is plenty of choice whether you’re looking for a quick breakfast, a long lunch, sunset drinks or a late night out.
A SLOWER WAY TO EXPERIENCE GILI TRAWANGAN
Gili T can be energetic when you want it to be, but one of its best qualities is how easy it is to slow everything down.There are no traffic jams and no need to plan every hour of the day.You can cycle to breakfast, spend the morning snorkelling, work for a few hours from the villa, head to the western beach for sunset, and decide where you’re having dinner when you get there.Or do almost nothing.That slower pace is a big part of what makes Gili T such an easy place to settle into, even if you’re only staying for a few days.
THE LOCATION
One of the best things about the location is the balance.Gili Terrace Villas are located on the quieter sunset side of Gili Trawangan, where the island generally feels slower and more relaxed. The villas are set away from the busiest stretch around the harbour, while still keeping the beaches, restaurants, bars and activities of Gili T within easy reach.The western beach, sunset bars and restaurants are less than a two-minute bicycle ride away, and many places can also be reached comfortably on foot. It is easy to head out for breakfast, spend the afternoon at the beach or stay for sunset without needing to plan your whole day around transport.Across the island, the harbour and busier eastern side of Gili T can be reached in around ten minutes by bicycle. You can spend the evening having dinner, listening to live music or heading somewhere livelier, then return to a villa that feels noticeably more peaceful.For a full horizon sunset, the western beach is only a couple of minutes away. The private rooftop terrace at the villa offers its own quieter sunset atmosphere, with views through the coconut trees and towards the western side of the island.

GETTING TO GILI TRAWANGAN
Gili Trawangan sits just off the northwest coast of Lombok and can be reached from both Bali and Lombok.From Bali, one of the most common options is a fast boat to Gili T, with services operating from ports including Padang Bai, Sanur and Serangan, depending on the operator and schedule.Another option is to fly from Bali to Lombok, travel by road to the northwest coast of Lombok, and then make the short sea crossing to Gili T by boat.Once you arrive at the harbour, you can continue to the villa on foot, by bicycle or by cidomo, the traditional horse-drawn carts used for transport around the island.Because Gili T has no cars, even the final part of the journey immediately feels different from arriving in most holiday destinations.
